After the two team's two first encounters proved to be nail-bitingly close, the last two have gone to either team in an absolutely one-sided fashion as iG crushed DK at the Red Bull ECL grand finals 2-0, and DK today stomped iG 3-0.
Off the backs of incredible plays from DK's two non-Chinese members,Chai 'Mushi' Yae Fung and Daryl 'iceiceice' Koh, DK rung in 2014 with another major tournament victory under their belt, proving that they are the undisputed masters of Chinese Dota 2. In contrast, iG, even though they've proved to be the only team able to truly stand up against DK on LAN, have been the centerpiece for a myriad of rumours regarding their roster disbanding, or at least splitting up. It's a great shame if these rumours turn out to be true, as the DK-iG rivalry was only growing in scope for each consecutive final they played.
