Nobody likes to hear bad news, but unfortunately, Aussie Lord of the Rings Fans are about to hear some. Word came down this morning that the latest game to be based on JRR Tolkien's literature masterpieces--The Lord of the Rings: War in the North--has seen a slight delay Down Under right before its release.

　　The game is due out next week on November 2, but Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment Australia has announced that Lord of the Rings: War in the North has been pushed back two weeks to the 16th. The publisher told GameSpot AU that the delay was because of operational issues.

　　The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is set in the upper areas of Middle-earth during the events of the books and films. There are three characters that players can choose from, and they have their own attributes that can be leveled up as the game progresses. While the game is set in the same universe as the films and will explore familiar locations like The Shire, areas from the books that weren't featured in Peter Jackson's movies, like Mirkwood and Mount Gundabad, have also been included.
