SciTech, one of the marvels of hardware-enhancing software technology, has announced that the next version of its Display Doctor software supports the new Intel i740 chipset.
If you've never heard of Display Doctor, its premise is pretty simple - it enhances the performance of over 250 SVGA chips, so you can get some increased performance from your graphics card. In many cases, the affect is amazing. Display Doctor features auto chip detection, display centering and refresh rate tools, display power management, diagnostic tools, and a feature that can increase graphics chip performance in Pentium II and Pentium Pro systems by as much as 400 percent.
"SciTech Software welcomes Intel's entry into the graphics chip market. We have been working closely with Intel throughout the development phase of the Intel740 to ensure its compatibility with SciTech Display Doctor and a host of other third-party software applications," remarked Tom Ryan, director of marketing for SciTech Software.
The software is available on the SciTech web site for US$45.
