Tony Hawk Skates The Real Warehouse Map Just Like In The Game
Tony Hawk Skates The Real Warehouse Map Just Like In The Game-May 2024
May 1, 2025 8:30 AM

There is no level more iconic in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise than the Warehouse. Its simplicity, great skating options for vert and street styles, and grimy aesthetic helped to make it an instant classic in the original game, but did you know it's actually real?

Tony Hawk had a chance to skate a real-life version of the Warehouse to celebrate the launch of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, pulling off some impressive tricks but failing to find any of the S-K-A-T-E letters we're sure are hiding somewhere.

Now Playing: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 - Warehouse IRL Trailer

He gets some serious air when hitting the ramp located on the far side of the Warehouse, and the trailer cuts between footage of the video game Tony and the real Tony doing the same tricks. It's particularly impressive now that Hawk is 52 years old.

Hawk's vert style means he primarily skates ramps and pipes for maximum air, but there are plenty of street skaters on the game's roster for those who prefer that style.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 includes remade versions of the two original games, adding in extra features and keeping the vast majority of the soundtrack. It's a hugely impressive game, with Mat Paget giving it a 9/10 in GameSpot's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 +2 review. In contrast, 2015's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 received a 3/10, with critic Peter Brown loathing its visuals, bugs, and unrealistic new "slam" mechanic.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
