At Comic-Con 2010, THQ and the SyFy channel spoke about bringing Red Faction to all media to help strengthen its bottom line. And earlier this week THQ announced it lost over $30 million in the most recent quarter. Today, the company took another step in extending its properties by registering a new Red Faction domain name. THQ has more Red Faction on the brain.

　　The Agoura Hills, California video game publisher recently registered the domain name Redfactionbattlegrounds.com. The listing provides nothing in the way of details as to what the Web site will house or what it represents, and THQ has not responded to GameSpot's request for comment or clarification on the matter.

　　The next installment in the Red Faction series, Red Faction: Armageddon, is due out in March 2011. It is the follow-up to 2009's critically acclaimed third-person shooter, Red Faction: Guerrilla. Additionally, an Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network downloadable tie-in for the underground destruction-based Armageddon is currently in development--and Red Faction: Battlegrounds might very well be its title.

　　Red Faction and Saints Row publisher THQ has frequented the news loop with regularity in the past weeks. Besides the partnership with Bay Area developer Double Fine, the publisher is reportedly about to announce a multi-game deal with Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro.
