Quantic Dream, the developer of Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human, will publish Under the Waves, a narrative adventure game from Parallel Studio in 2023 across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. The game is described as a "poetic underwater adventure about the engulfing power of grief."

　　The game follows the story of Stan, a professional deep sea diver who begins to experience "strange events" on his dives. That's about all we know so far, but the initial details and teaser trailer leave us intrigued to find out more.

　　Parallel Studio used Quantic Dream's motion capture, voice recording, and animation tools to help create Under the Waves. Some of Parallel's previous games have included the narrative puzzle game Eqqo, the Oculus title Dark Days, and the 1930s horror-puzzle game White Night.

　　Quantic Dream set up a publishing division in 2019, and Under the Waves is the company's latest project. Quantic Dream itself is making a new Star Wars game, Eclipse, but it's still some time off.
