The Sierra Sports Golf Association (SGA) 1999 Season II is getting ready to launch this July. The SGA is a free online competition and community area using Sierra Sports' Championship Golf 1999 Edition. Signups for season II begin on July 6 with competition beginning on July 20.
Users will be able to enter online tournaments, swap user-created greens, or gain golf tips online. Other features of the service include an online chat and career stats tracking.
Interested players will have three levels of online play according to their ability: the Amateur Tour, the PGA Championship Tour, and the SGA Pro Tour. Only 60 spots are open on the Pro Tour, so you'll have to live up to your golf game or else you'll miss out on the best prizes. The first place pro winners will get a trip for two to Kauai for seven days and six nights, three rounds of golf for two, and US$500. Second- and third-place prizes include an $800 set of golf clubs and a Calloway Big Bertha Driver and Three-Wood. Prizes for the other two events will be listed on the official site.
All you'll need to play is a copy of PGA Championship Golf 1999 Edition or Golf Pro '98 and an Internet connection.
