Bullfrog has already released the demo for its upcoming strategy game Populous: The Beginning. Now it's released a list of spells that were not included for player-shaman use in the demo but that will be included on the full version of the game. Those spells include: Hypnotism, which brings enemies over to your side (temporarily); Angel of Death, a beast that flies around the world. seeking and destroying enemy followers; and Volcano, which, as its name attests, causes the ground to rise up and boiling lava to spew forth.
Other new spells are what Bullfrog is calling "guest spells," spells that are only usable during a multiplayer game. Those spells include: Teleport, which can be cast anywhere on the Populous map to transport the player-shaman to that point; Bloodlust, which turns a shaman's followers into battle-hungry savages; and Armageddon, which transports each player's followers to an arena where they (and their controlling shamans) fight for world domination.
