New Xbox One video details Project Upload-June 2024
Jun 27, 2025 1:58 PM

Microsoft today released a new Xbox One video that provides details on how the next-generation system's Project Upload feature will work at launch on Friday.

The first part of the video shows a Microsoft employee capturing and editing a Forza 5 video clip through the Upload Studio.

He then uploads this clip to his SkyDrive account, where it can be shared via Facebook or YouTube, but only while accessing the files on SkyDrive for PC.

At launch, content created through the Upload Studio on Xbox One can be shared only through Xbox Live, though support for Facebook and YouTube is scheduled for 2014.

Xbox One Game DVR clips are captured in 720p at 30 frames-per-second. The Xbox One will automatically record the last five minutes of gameplay. Gamers can say "Xbox Record" at any time to begin recording content at any point.

The Xbox One launches this Friday, November 22, for $500. GameSpot's video coverage of the next-generation system continues tonight at 9 p.m. PDT with a video demonstration of the hardware and user interface.
