Immersion Corporation announced today version 3.0 of its I-Force Studio tool, which will allow game developers to create, test, and manage sequences of force feedback sensations through a graphical environment.
Using the tool, developers adjust physical parameters, test the resulting sensations, and then save them as "feel resources." Version 3.0's new features include the ability to test sound effects and feedback sensations simultaneously. I-Force Studio works with DirectX-compatible force feedback computer peripherals for Windows 95 and 98.
