NCsoft sent us a brief update on the progress of the upcoming North American launch of its popular online role-playing game, Lineage: The Blood Pledge. The North American version of the game will feature a number of improvements, including a new interface, a new player area, and complete localization for the North American audience. The company will also launch Episode 9 of the game, which will feature new settings.
NCsoft also revealed plans to introduce Lord British into the world of Lineage. Lord British is Richard Garriott's legendary game character that first appeared in the long-running Ultima series of role-playing games. In May, NCsoft announced a partnership with Garriott's new development studio, Destination Games, to help promote and launch Lineage in North America.
Lineage was first launched in Korea in 1998 and currently claims more than 2.7 million subscribers worldwide. The North American version of Lineage: The Blood Pledge is scheduled for launch this fall. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
