Tech company InfoSpace of Bellevue, WA today said it has completed the acquisition of IOMO, a UK-based mobile game developer. InfoSpace paid approximately $15 million in an all-cash transaction. The move helps InfoSpace's mobile division expand its market abroad. IOMO boasted revenues of nearly $1 million for the third quarter of 2004 thanks to a portfolio of mobile titles that include Scooby Doo!, Tomb Raider, and Colin McRae 2005. IOMO has been named Best Mobile Development Studio at the Develop Industry Excellence Awards two years in a row.
