CMP Game Media Group has announced that it is now accepting entries for the first round of judging for the Independent Games Festival. CMP organizes the IFG so the indie game finalists, which must pass through the multipart selection process, are shown at the Game Developers Conference that takes place each March. One game will be choosen to win the US$10,000 Seamus McNally Grand Prize. The prize is named after the programmer of the tank game Tread Marks who succombed to cancer shortly after winning the prize. Entries are due late next month. The festival is intended only for games that have not yet secured a commercial publisher.
