Humble's Choice Collection for July is live, and if you're in the mood for sci-fi epics, beat-'em-up action, and creature collecting, then this month's selection is a great deal. Like usual, PC gamers can download and keep these games forever as part of their monthly subscription to Humble Choice, which costs $12 a month. Until July 11, new subscribers can get their first month of Humble Choice for only $8 by using promo code GAMESPOT8. Even if you decide to cancel your subscription, these games will be yours to keep.

Moving on from space and to a wild Japanese red-light district, Yakuza 4 puts a new spin on the long-running crime saga by introducing new playable characters, deeper brawling mechanics, and the franchise's signature weirdness through new side stories. It's worth noting that unlike the remakes of the first two Yakuza games, this version of Yakuza 4 is an HD remaster of the PS3 game. It's still a great game with its episodic structure, as it ambitiously tells a captivating crime tale through the perspectives of four protagonists.
You'll also get the Pokemon-like Temtem, which exited early access last year. Temtem is very much a Pokemon-like, so if you're itching for some creature collecting and battling on PC (or Steam Deck), now's your chance to dive into the world of Airborne Archipelago. You'll explore six islands throughout the story campaign, and you can battle and team up with other players. Think of Temtem as the Pokemon equivalent of Destiny 2. It's fun to play solo, but the community approach is what will keep you coming back to Airborne Archipelago.
Another highlight this month is Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate, which improves chess by adding guns to the tabletop game. A rogue-like strategy game that casts you in the role of a deposed king piece, you'll be earning your revenge from the barrel of a shotgun. Just like actual chess, there are turn-based moves, rogue-like power boosts, and deep tactical moments to clear the board one piece at a time.
The rest of June’s Humble Choice games include the choice-driven fantasy narrative of Roadwarden, high-school adventure Kraken Academy, trading strategy game Merchant of the Skies, and the Civilization-style game Ozymandias.
All eight games are downloadable right now for Humble Choice members. If you’re not already signed up, you can join Humble Choice for just $12/month (or $8 until July 11 if you've never subscribed before). Along with the monthly free games, you also get access to the rotating Humble Games Collection & Vault, which features dozens of other titles you can play at no extra charge, plus you get extra discounts in Humble's online store.
