May 7, 2025 8:18 AM

TOKYO - Japanese gamers are reportedly claiming that Sega Muse, the distributor for Sega and the Dreamcast, has informed retailers that some games for the upcoming system have been delayed.

Sega of Japan has not made an official announcement, as November 3 is a national holiday in Japan.

The public was first made aware of the news via a web site owned by Sega Partnership, the official Dreamcast dealer. The site was shut down soon after news of the delays was posted.

Here is a list of the games rumored to be delayed - and when they are now projected to be released in Japan:

Sega Rally 2Moves from Nov 27 to Jan 14

Sonic AdventureMoves from Dec 17 to Dec 23

Blue StingerMoves from Dec 3 to Jan 14

GeistforceMoves from Dec 10 to January

Monaco GP 2Moves from Dec 23 to January

Additionally, some gamers have claimed they received phone calls from shops where they reserved these games telling them of the delays. We'll see if this is true or not soon enough, as Sega is bound to address this news later this week.
