Videogames.com recently received the US playable demo of Square's eagerly anticipated Final Fantasy VIII. While playing it revealed absolutely nothing we hadn't already learned about the game, it has to be said that it's a nice improvement (over the Japanese release) to be able to understand the in-game dialogue without the aid of a translator.
Here is a handful of shots of the demo in action, which US gamers will be able to play when the game is released with Brave Fencer Musashi around the middle of this month. Square/EA has yet to announce a release date for Final Fantasy VIII.
