Two days ago onGamers reported that that Steven 'Korok' Ashworth had been removed from the Dignitas Dota 2 division, with Dignitas management citing commitment and communication issues as the primary reasons.
Jimmy 'DeMoN' Ho, the squad's newest recruit, reported in a Reddit thread yesterday following a forfeit to Fnatic in the Dota 2 League that the roster issues went deeper than just losing Ashworth. Ho explained:
"We tried to play with a roster that consisted of 3 stand-ins which wasn't allowed by D2L resulting in a forfeit loss call made by them. Korok was kicked, Bleek is probably done with pro Dota, and 1437 left the team. Inphinity and myself are the remaining players from Dignitas and we will be reforming the team to compete at MLG Columbus."
On the heels of this news onGamers started reaching out to sources who had, in the past, been keen on talking to the press about roster changes. Two different North American Dota professionals who wished to remain anonymous told onGamers that Dignitas would be picking up three players from the team Stay Free. Corey 'Corey' Wright, Ludwig 'zai' Wåhlberg, and Peter 'ppd' Dager were, at the time, reportedly going to be brought under the Dignitas banner to play at Major League Gaming Columbus.
onGamers reached out to Team Dignitas' Managing Director Michael 'ODEE' O'Dell via email for a comment on the alleged additions. He responded twice overnight.
O'Dell initially went on to remark, "Once I decide on what we will do with DOTA 2 we will let everyone know, right now nothing is certain." Hours later he added, "OK I pulled the plug, we will look to get a new team in the future."
Major League Gaming's Executive Vice President would also tweet this morning that the team would no longer be participating at Columbus, and that they were looking for a replacement.
MLG Columbus update: @TeamDignitas will no longer be competing in #dota2 due to roster changes. Working on a replacement.

O'Dell told onGamers that he doubted that Dignitas would support a Dota 2 team for several months.
