INVADER: BELL KEEPER
To reach Belfry Luna, use the bonfire you accessed after the Ruin Sentinel boss fight as your starting point. Go down the ladder nearby and use the Pharros’ Lockstone at the Pharros’ Contraption. If you don’t have one, there’s one available in the lower area of Sinner’s Rise. Using the Lockstone will reveal the entrance to Belfry Luna.

Dealing with Bell Keepers is child’s play when they’re solo, but they can be a challenge in groups, which is what you’ll encounter at the top of the tower. Adding to their numbers is the slightly stronger Bell Keeper invader. Be ready to move a lot when taking on the five Bell Keepers and use the tower supports as brief hiding places to heal and give yourself a breather. They’re best handled with ranged attacks, but they’ll reciprocate in kind, so be sure to keep moving.

You probably noticed that the same room with the ladder leading to the top of the belfry also has a mist portal. This is where you can take on the next boss, the Belfry Gargoyles. While you’ll have to deal with as many as three at a time, they’re much slower than the Ruin Sentinels. It helps to focus on one gargoyle at a time, but they’re so large that even if another gargoyle blocks your intended target, you’re still chipping away at the gargoyles’ cumulative life bar. They mix up their spear jabs and uppercuts with fire breathing attacks. Those flames will cover either a short and wide berth or a narrow and far reaching area, so plan your dodges accordingly. In addition, this battlefield is a gable style roof, which you should be mindful of when dealing ranged attacks.

Much like many prior boss battle areas, emerging victorious reveals a new door. This portal leads to the only bonfire of Belfry Luna. When you get to the bonfire, note the downward ladder nearby. Then note all the dogs waiting for you at the bottom of that ladder. By now you should be an old hand against these canines, which is why there’s a greater challenge waiting for you down there, the invader known as Vorgel The Sinner. While this knight is covered in a menacing dark blood red hue, he should be easy to take down, even with dogs around. His attacks can be avoided with blocks and backpedalling. Just note the he also has Estus Flasks, so staying on the offense is highly recommended.
