Chrysler was one of the handful of American auto companies to take a beating as part of The Great Recession, but the car manufacturer still has gas in its tank. The Wall Street Journal reports today that the car company unveiled 17 new products that it plans to roll out over the next six months, and among those offerings was one targeted specifically at gamers.
According to interviews the WSJ conducted with dealers, Chrysler will soon begin selling a limited-edition Call of Duty-branded Jeep Wrangler Sahara. WSJ's sources did not offer an MSRP value for the special edition Wrangler, though standard models of the SUV begin at $26,195.
No word on whether the COD Sahara will come equipped with a turret. The tie-in is a natural one between Chrysler and Treyarch's modern-military first-person shooter. Upon its release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS, and PC on November 9, Black Ops will feature an in-game version of the vehicle that gamers can take for a spin.
