Although it hasn't sold this number just yet, Sony is already celebrating its 10 million milestone in Japan. According to Sony, it will have shipped 10 million PlayStation units by the end of the year.
In commemoration of this achievement, from December 3 to 31 Japanese gamers who purchase a PlayStation console or games will get a postcard to enter a special Sony contest.
The prizes for the lucky winners include special "Midnight Blue" PlayStation units (100 units), "Sueded Black" Dual Shock controllers (1,000 units) and specially cased "Brilliant Silver" memory cards (10,000 units).
