Watch First NSFW Trailer for Adam Sandler's Crazy-Looking Nextflix Movie-July 2024
Jul 8, 2025 10:24 AM

Following a teaser in March, Netflix today released the first full-length trailer for Adam Sandler's next Netflix movie, The Do-Over. The movie stars funnymen Sandler and David Spade, who play characters who are old friends.

Tired with their boring lives, they reunite at their 25th high school reunion for "the ultimate mulligan." They fake their deaths to get a fresh start, but things don't go to plan. The movie's tagline is "dying was their first mistake," and the trailer begins to explain why. There are some sequences that are NSFW, so bear that in mind before queuing it up.

Now Playing: GS News Update: First NSFW Trailer for Adam Sandler's Crazy-Looking Nextflix Arrives

The Do-Over was directed by Steven Brill, who also helmed Sandler movies Mr. Deeds and Little Nicky. Paula Patton (Warcraft), Luis Guzman (Narcos), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings), and Nick Swardson (Grandma's Boy) also have parts in the action-comedy.

The movie has big shoes to fill, as Sandler's The Ridiculous Six was Netflix's most popular movie in its history. Despite poor reviews and controversy regarding its depiction of Native Americans, the comedy tallied more views during its first 30 days than any other Netflix movie ever.

Sandler's deal with Netflix is for four total films, meaning two more are coming after The Do-Over.

"When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only: Netflix rhymes with 'wet chicks.' Let the streaming begin!" Sandler said back in 2014 when the deal was announced (via Deadline).

The official poster for The Do-Over has also been released. The movie opens on May 27, which is Memorial Day.
