Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is widely regarded as one of the best games of 2009. Beyond its glowing critical reception, the game has accrued 15 nods as part of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Interactive Achievement Awards, as well as seven nominations at the Game Developers Choice Awards.

　　If that kind of support isn't enough to tantalize would-be purchasers, Naughty Dog plans to give gamers a free trial of the single-player portion of the million-unit-selling PlayStation 3 exclusive on January 28. The Santa Monica-based developer did not indicate what portion of the game would be available as part of the demo. (A multiplayer demo was available prior to the game's release.)

　　Chimera represent! Alongside the demo, Naughty Dog also has a batch of downloadable content in store for next Thursday. In collaboration with Guerilla Games, Insomniac Games, and Sucker Punch Productions, the studio will release the PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack.

　　The $4.99 offering includes seven skins that can be used in the game's multiplayer mode, including Sev and a Helghast soldier from Killzone 2, and Nathan Hale and a Chimera from Resistance 2, as well as a good and evil Cole and Zeke from Infamous.
