With the prize pool of Valve’s fourth annual The International event exceeding $6,000,000, few organisations within eSports want to miss out a chance to be a part of the absolutely massive event which will take place in the Key Arena, come mid-July this year. This goes for organisations and brands currently working within the LCS as well. CLG reportedly made an offer to acquire North American Rejects, the winners of the TI4 North American qualifier, and now Team Coast, who were featured in three consecutive seasons of the NA LCS, have picked the roster formerly known as Monomaniac Esports, the surprise finalists of the recent FragBite Masters tournament.
Team Coast will participate in the TI4 EU qualifiers, where they will be playing against teams such as Power Rangers and mousesports.
onGamers reached out to Coast’s offlaner, Sebastian 'solen' Kjær, about the acquisition and he was kind enough to answer a few questions about the news:
