Square is preparing a new 3D action RPG called Brave Fencer Musashiden. It takes place in a fully 3D world, as the player takes the role of a boy named Musashi, who wields swords in both hands, and can jump, run, and slash enemies.
The game has lot of platform game elements like traps and many kinds of enemies. It can best be described as a Zelda in a Super Mario 64 world. Graphically, it's not as real as Zelda 64, but it doesn't have that "cute" Mario 64 look.
Players proceed through the game by passing levels. At the end of each level, there are huge bosses. Currently the game is 65 percent complete. It will be compatible with the Dual Shock controller.
Hironobu Sakaguchi, executive producer of the game, is already thinking about turning this into a series of games.
Brave Fencer Musashiden for the PlayStation is expected to be released this summer.
