It was not announced which relief support group the money would go to.
The $150,000 donation includes a sum from Sony Corp., as well as donations raised from Sony Group employees, whose contributions were matched by Sony Corp.
In addition to the monetary donation, Sony will provide 400 emergency radios to local communities affected by the superstorm.
"Sony sends its sincerest condolences to all those affected by Typhoon Haiyan and wishes for a full and swift recovery," the company said in a statement.
Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines on Friday. Officials believe the death toll could reach 10,000, though this figure may be on the low side.
