General Mills and SCEA today announced a three-month cross-promotional campaign that will offer consumers US$5-discount coupons inside General Mills cereal boxes for select PlayStation games. Among the games consumers can choose are Crash Bandicoot: WARPED, Spyro the Dragon, Tomba!, Gran Turismo and Rugrats: Search for Reptar.
The coupons will be on the back of the boxes of six General Mills cereals: Lucky Charms, Frosted Cheerios, Cookie Crisp, Cocoa Puffs, Reese's Puffs, and Trix. Boxes will feature SCEA's mascot, Crash Bandicoot, on a motorcycle and packaging artwork of all five games included in the promotion. The promotion will run through May 31, and the coupons can be used until March 1, 2000.
