Blizzard has released a new animated short for Overwatch, its upcoming team-based multiplayer shooter. While the first focused on Winston--the super-smart, ultra-powerful ape-- the second is all about Widowmaker, the deadly female assassin.

　　The video shows the sniper attempting to assassinate Zenyatta, another one of the game's playable heroes. The robot seems to be a spiritual leader in the game's universe and can be seen advocating for harmony between humankind and machines.

　　Also slinking around is Tracer, the high-energy British hero with time-manipulation abilities, who steps in to put a stop to Windowmaker's plans. Check out the video above to see what happens.

　　Overwatch will launch on May 24 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The game was initially revealed as a PC only title, but in November 2015 Blizzard added announced Overwatch for Xbox One and PS4.

　　The game is not free-to-play and it will not offer cross-platform play across PC and consoles due to the advantage keyboard and mouse players might have. All maps and characters released for Overwatch after launch will be free, according to game director Jeff Kaplan.

　　Toy company Funko has announced a new line of Pop! figures based on the game's characters. The lineup of figures includes adorable versions of Tracer, Reaper, Widowmaker, and Winston the gorilla. You can see these in the gallery below.
