Nvidia has announced the GTX 780 Ti, a new high-end GPU based on its Kepler architecture. The card is due for release in mid-November, although no pricing was announced.
The company also revealed that its upcoming ShadowPlay capture software--which was originally slated for launch in the summer--can now stream directly to streaming service Twitch at 720p resolution and 60 frames per second. Nvidia claims that ShadowPlay puts little to no strain on a player's CPU, by using the GPU directly to encode video.
In a demonstration, Nvidia showed Splinter Cell: Blacklist being streamed live, with the game maintaining a consistent frame rate throughout. Players can overlay a webcam video using the Shadowplay software, and record footage locally in 1080p at 60fps.
Shadowplay is due for release on October 28.
