Ahead of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's launch on October 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision have shared a launch trailer, which is set to the tune of a classic heavy metal song.

　　Synched to Metallica's "Enter Sandman" from the band's 1991 self-titled album, the trailer, above, hints at how engagement rules in warfare have changed. As the trailer goes dark, it sequences through various scenes of destruction, explosions, infiltration, and shooting. The gloves have come off and the action is getting a little crazy.

　　Modern Warfare wrapped up its open beta, which reportedly set a new franchise record. Activision said it was the "largest [beta] in Call of Duty history."
