Mad Catz announced today that it hopes to have 11 peripherals ready for retail for the North American launch of Game Boy Advance on June 11. The peripherals, which are scheduled to be unveiled at E3 this May, include an MP3 player, a PDA, and a car adapter, among others. The peripherals will be color-coded to match the three launch colors of the Game Boy Advance.
"The Game Boy accessories category expanded by almost 60 percent last year and shows no sign of slowing," Darren Richardson, president and COO of Mad Catz, said. "Mad Catz is well represented in the category with the number-one link cable, battery pack, and travel pack, as well as the number-two light. We're excited about the upcoming Game Boy Advance launch because we expect it to be extremely well received by the market and continue to drive Game Boy's phenomenal growth for years to come."
