Rhythm games, especially those that focus on dancing or singing, are only as good as the songs included in their soundtracks. Playing Dance Dance Revolution to songs such as Beethoven's "Fifth" or the "Cjaz Cjaz Polka" won't cut it. On the other hand, karaoke games rely on a deft combination of power ballads and kitschy '80s tunes.

　　Konami, purveyors of the Dance Dance Revolution and Karaoke Party series, have experience with the genre, so the company aims to keep its fans shucking, jiving, screaming, and crooning. Today at the company's press event, Konami released the upcoming track listings for Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 and Karaoke Revolution Party.

　　Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 will trot out on the PlayStation 2 this September, while Karaoke Revolution Party will be released on the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube this November. (The latter is currently in development by Harmonix Music Systems, the team behind Amplitude.)
