EA Sports has described its upcoming Xbox One and PlayStation 4 fighting game EA Sports UFC as "literally as real as it gets." The claim comes from creative director Brian Hayes as part of the first trailer released for EA Sports UFC, which was captured from actual Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gameplay.

　　There isn't much in way of gameplay, however, as the trailer instead focuses on the technology EA Sports is using to bring the pugilists to life on-screen.

　　Fighters featured in EA Sports UFC, like standout Chuck Liddell, were scanned into the game using the "most advanced capture technology," Hayes said. This technology allowed developers to create highly authentic depictions of fighters' faces and bodies at a level that "just wasn't possible" on consoles like the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

　　EA Sports UFC characters will have true-to-life awareness, intelligence, and emotion, Hayes said. Fighters' facial expressions, warm-ups, and signature stances will all find their way into the game.

　　In addition to advanced character models, EA Sports UFC will make use of "high-resolution" textures and dynamic lighting systems to make the game look and feel more believable, Hayes said. EA Sports UFC launches exclusively for Xbox One and PS4 this spring. Check out the debut gameplay trailer below.
