E3 2019 gets underway today with the latest EA Play event from Electronic Arts. The highlight of this will be the EA Play livestream on June 8, which you can watch here on GameSpot. It will be home to a variety of news and trailers, but most notable will be the looks at Apex Legends Season 2 and the first gameplay reveal of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. We're also expecting to hear more about FIFA 20, which was announced this week and received some details before EA Play got underway.

As in the last few years, EA will eschew the E3 show itself and instead center its efforts on EA Play, a fan-centric event that takes place just before E3. This year it will be on Saturday, June 8 through Sunday, June 9. It will be held at the Hollywood Palladium and feature developer talks, gameplay reveals, and more, with livestreams for those who are not in attendance. It's unclear if there will be any surprises--BioWare fans will surely be hoping for something on Mass Effect or Dragon Age 4--but here's what's officially on the event's schedule:

EA Play Schedule (Saturday, June 8, Times Listed PT)

Each of those games have ongoing live content like new modes, story chapters, or in the case of Apex Legends, details for the upcoming Season 2 Battle Pass. The game has been criticized by some for not receiving updates as frequently as Fortnite, as well as the fact that its initial Battle Pass was somewhat lacking. In the interest of avoiding crunch, developer Respawn Entertainment has said it won't shift to weekly updates. But we will get a look at whatever it has planned for the next few months of Apex's live services including, perhaps, the introduction of Fortnite-style challenges, which it hasn't ruled out.

We also know that Respawn's other big 2019 game, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, will get a gameplay reveal at the event. Finally, we're certain to see the latest on EA's slate of EA Sports titles, including Madden NFL 20 and FIFA 20, the latter of which we know is getting a FIFA Street-style mode.
