The virtual pet wave may have crested, but that's not stopping Expert Software Inc. from releasing REX! Your Interactive Pet Dinosaur.
The Windows 95 product allows players to watch up to five T-Rexes at a time hatch from eggs and then grow to adulthood. Users help things along by feeding and disciplining the dinos and helping them to explore cave, desert, jungle and other environments. Players can teach their T-Rexes to roar, play a game of catch, or blow bubbles for the creature to dance around and catch.
