Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has delayed its digital showcase for the game, titled Night City Wire, to later in June in light of ongoing civil rights protests primarily in the United States.
Night City Wire was originally meant to debut on June 11, with CD Projekt Red using the same week usually reserved for E3 to show off their latest IP ahead of its September launch. The event will now take place on June 25, with a statement explaining that "more important discussions are happening right now and we want them to be heard."

We decided to move Night City Wire to Jun 25th. We still look forward to sharing new information about CP’77, but more important discussions are happening right now and we want them to be heard. We wholeheartedly stand against racism, intolerance and violence. Black Lives Matter.

CD Projekt Red isn't the only company to shift plans in light of social events that have transpired over the past few days. Activision has delayed new content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, while Sony postponed the June 4 stream for the PlayStation 5. Numerous publishers and developers are also voicing support for Black Lives Matter and the ongoing fight for equality, with some making financial donations, too.
