Crytek's sci-fi first-person shooter Crysis 2 debuted in late March to a warm reception. Now the developer has announced the game's first batch of add-on content, which comes in the way of new maps for its multiplayer component.
Crysis 2 grows with Retaliation next week. Crysis 2's Retaliation map pack will debut on May 17. The content--which publisher Electronic Arts has not priced--will debut for the Xbox 360 and PC, and it is composed of four new environments for the game's multiplayer component.
EA had intended to also release the Crysis 2 add-on for the PlayStation 3 on May 17. However, Sony has said it doesn't expect the PlayStation Network to return to service until May 31.
The new killing spaces are Park Avenue, Transit, Shipyard, and Compound. For a look at the new environments in action, check out the trailer below.
