Creative Assembly rebranded Down Under-May 2024
May 3, 2025 11:12 PM

Sega Australia today announced that its Brisbane-based development studio, The Creative Assembly, is getting a title and logo change.

Now known as Sega Studios Australia, the Aussie studio was first formed in 2002 by George Fidler, whose previous position at EA saw him work with The Creative Assembly UK on several sporting titles.

To date, the studio's games include Rome: Total War, Medieval II: Total War, Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms, and 2009's Stormrise.

According to Sega, the newly rebranded studio is hard at work on the upcoming London 2012 - The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

The game will let gamers participate in some 30 events based on Olympic sports and will include an online component and leaderboards.
