Having released many games with Chocobos as the main characters' mode of transportation, this is the first time that Square has made a game completely centering around one of them. Chocobo: Mysterious Dungeon leads the player on a quest through a myriad of rooms, each with its own pitfalls and items. The game is the third in a line of mysterious dungeon games that Chunsoft originally developed for the Super Famicom (Super Nintendo).
