Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Desilets, who left Ubisoft in 2010 to head up THQ Montreal, has returned to the French publisher, a company representative told Polygon today.

　　It was previously unclear if Desilets would return to Ubisoft, following the company's wholesale purchase of THQ Montreal during the THQ bankruptcy sale.

　　At the time, a Ubisoft representative said it was "too soon to say for certain" if the designer would stay on.

　　"We are very pleased to welcome Patrice to Ubisoft again and anticipate that this renewed partnership will produce new ideas and high-quality titles for Ubisoft's customers," a spokesperson told the site today.

　　When Ubisoft purchased THQ Montreal, it also picked up the company's two unannounced projects: 1666 and Underdog.

　　Firm details on these projects have not yet come to light, though 1666 is expected to sell as many of 4 million copies.
