Kane And The Great Khali Join WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2021-May 2024
May 1, 2025 8:41 AM

This year's WWE Hall of Fame class might want to make room as two titanic champions are making their way to the halls. Former World Champion The Great Khali and Grand Slam Champion Kane will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and are the latest to join this year's group alongside Eric Bischoff and Molly Holly.

Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs and current Mayor of Knox County in Tennessee, has a decades-long career that started in territories like Smokey Mountain Wrestling and the USWA before joining the then-WWF in 1995 as Isaac Yankem, DDS, eventually becoming "fake Diesel". Jacobs was repackaged as the Undertaker's half-brother Kane, who soon became a staple in the company's Attitude Era and mainstay character for years.

Kane is a former three-time World Champion and only one of two people to have captured the ECW, World Heavyweight Championship, and WWE Championship--the other being the Big Show. He captured the tag team championship 12 times as well as the Intercontinental Championship twice during his time with the company, too.

Joining Kane will be former World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali. Announced over at WWE Now India, Khali--real name Dalip Singh Rana--received the news from his former manager Ranjin Singh and seemed genuinely surprised by the news.

Khali performed for the company from 2006-2014 and won his first, and only, world title just a little over a year in the company.

After his full-time came to an end, he made subsequent appearances, including helping Jinder Mahal beat Randy Orton to retain the WWE Championship in a Punjabi Prison match, a match created for Khali, at Battleground 2017.

This year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will air on Peacock on April 6th in the United States, and on the WWE Network everywhere else.
