EA has announced that WCW Backstage Assault for the PlayStation will ship today. Backstage Assault takes a unique twist on the wrestling genre in that matches take place entirely backstage or outdoors. Backstage Assault features 14 different rooms for the matches to take place in, 40 objects to be used as weapons, and 62 authentic WCW wrestlers. The Nintendo 64 version of the game will follow on December 12.
