The Mandalorian Season 2 officially returns this October, Disney has revealed. The Disney+ series was renewed for a second season in advance of its launch, and now we have a better idea of when it's coming.
The news was shared by Disney as part of its latest earnings report. During a conference call with investors, CEO Bob Iger provided the October release date, but he didn't provide an exact day. No further details on Season 2 were shared, but Iger emphasized that television is the priority for Star Wars right now, and he even suggested that Mandalorian characters could see their own spin-offs. However, nothing official has been shared on that front at this point.

In addition to the Mando news, Iger confirmed an August release for Falcon & Winter Soldier and December for WandaVision, two of the upcoming MCU shows coming to Disney+. Both of those were, along with Loki, featured in a Disney+ ad during the Super Bowl.

Prior to this, Disney had only said Season 2 of The Mandalorian would debut in Fall 2020. The latter half of this year is shaping up to be a big one for the service, which Disney just confirmed now has 26.5 million paid subscribers. Another big Star Wars series was recently delayed, as the Obi-Wan show won't release as soon as expected, but there are more Marvel shows coming than we previously knew.
October isn't an especially long wait after Season 1 of The Mandalorian wrapped up this past December, but if you're having trouble dealing with it, perhaps a life-size Baby Yoda will help.
