Remedy Entertainment's thrilling Control is looking to bag a few awards, currently sitting in five categories including Best Narrative, Best Visual Art, Game of the Year, and more. The action game has also landed in a few of GDCA's Honorable Mentions piles, such as those for the Innovation Award and Best Design.

The Game Awards' Game of the Year and winner of our own Game of the Year trophy, From Software's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, is back to try and take the top spot at the Game Developers Choice Awards ceremony. Alongside being up for Game of the Year, the brutal action-adventure game is also nominated for Best Design and Best Visual Art.

The GDCA doesn't just celebrate big-budget titles. This year's awards show praises a number of indie games as well, including Baba Is You (Best Design nominee), Disco Elysium (Best Debut), Sayonara Wild Hearts (Best Audio nominee) Outer Wilds (Game of the Year nominee), Untitled Goose Game (Game of the Year nominee), What the Golf (Best Mobile Game nominee), and more.

The Game Developers Choice Awards will be held on Wednesday, March 18 at 6:30 PM PT / 9:30 PM ET, and can be livestreamed on the company's official Twitch channel. You can check out the full list of GDCA Honorable Mentions and nominees below.
