As part of its latest financial report, Enix confirmed that it currently plans to release Star Ocean 3 for the Sony PlayStation 2 in March of next year in Japan. The game has yet to be confirmed for the North American market. In addition to the announcement of the Star Ocean 3 release date, Enix further discussed the state of the next game in its highly popular Dragon Warrior series. According to company executives, the tentatively titled Dragon Warrior VIII may include online functions. No console platform has been announced for the game at this time.
