Following a recent online poll in which gamers were invited to vote for the colors they'd like to see a special-edition Xbox Controller S released in, Microsoft has today announced that it will be unveiling new translucent controllers in blue and green at E3 next week. The other colors on offer, which can be seen in our previous coverage of the poll, included red, orange, and clear.
"Gamers have been asking us for new color options, so we thought it would be a great idea to not only give the people what they want, but to also let them choose the colors for themselves," said Bill Nielsen, director of Xbox brand marketing. "When the results were tabulated, green and blue were far and away the favorites so we'll release both of those options. We anticipate many gamers will have a tough time deciding between the two."
The blue and green editions of the Controller S will carry the same price tag as the standard black model when they go on sale in October.
