Ubi Soft and Team 17 have released new screenshots from Worms Blast, the fifth game in the successful series that has sold more than 6 million copies to date. The goal of the game is to survive longer than an opponent or accomplish a set objective. Players control a team of worms fighting other worms that can be controlled by the computer or human opponents.
There are nine completely new characters in Worms Blast, and they will all be rendered in 3D for the first time. Game modes include survival, star collection, time trial, deathmatch, and don't drop 'em. Players can make use of a wide range of comic weapons, including piranha, sea monster, shield, boat repair, fish food, water balance, weather balloon, torpedo, speed up, double damage, ghost crates, and lasers. The super sheep will be making a return as well.
The PlayStation 2 version of Worms Blast is currently scheduled to ship in the US on February 19.
