A brand-new Pokemon game is on the way. As part of the wide-ranging Pokemon 2019 press conference event, Pokemon Masters has been announced. It's a new mobile game developed by DeNA (which previously produced Mario Kart Tour, Super Mario Run, and other Nintendo mobile games) in partnership with Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. The game is set to launch in 2019 for Android and iOS devices.
Pokemon Masters "allows you to battle alongside your favorite Pokemon Trainers from the main series RPGs." You can check out a piece of related art below.

The idea for Pokemon Masters came from Game Freak's Ken Sugimori, who thought it would be fun for a Pokemon game to feature all of the past and present Pokemon Trainers from the game series.
"Pokemon Masters enables players to experience a new type of Pokemon battling on the go and features many famous Pokemon Trainers from the long history of Pokemon video games," reads a line from the game's official announcement. "Gameplay will be optimized for smart devices for a casual but uniquely Pokemon experience."
More details on Pokemon Masters will come in June, The Pokemon Company said. It's unclear if that means during Nintendo's E3 2019 press conference or at a different point in the month.
