It's going to be a lean year for Marvel on the big screen in 2024, but at the very least, Deadpool fans can expect a brand-new outing for the degenerate vigilante. Deadpool 3 sees the motor-mouthed mercenary finally cross paths with not only Wolverine but also Dogpool, an adorable pooch that has a passing resemblance to Wade Wilson.
Like Wilson, Dogpool is the product of unethical scientific experiments that succeeded in giving it special powers but left it looking horribly disfigured. At least Dogpool is cute compared to Wilson, who has a face for radio thanks to the unfortunate events in the first film that made him almost unkillable.
On Dogpool's Instagram account, the image is captioned by "Looks like avocado. Tastes like dog shit" and features the little canine getting a taste of Deadpool.

It has been a long road for Deadpool 3. from script to screen. Deadpool 2 was released in 2018 when the character was still owned by 20th Century Fox, and after that change in ownership, star Ryan Reynolds occasionally teased that he was up to something with Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman. The recent SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes forced production on Deadpool 3 to shut down for several months, but with both strikes now over, the film has a new release date of July 26, 2024.
Deadpool 3 will see Reynolds and Jackman joined by Morena Baccarin (Vanessa) and Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), while new cast members include Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession). There are even rumors that Taylor Swift might star in Deadpool 3 as the mutant Dazzler, but Reynolds is keeping his lips sealed whenever that topic is brought up in interviews.
