Acclaim has released new information on and screenshots from Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 for the Sony PlayStation 2. The game will feature two unique gameplay systems--the Skeletal Inverse Kinetics system and Trick Modifier--which are both designed to give the player further freedom in combining and stringing together a series of tricks. The SIK system gives the game's developer added freedom in mapping the transitions between tricks. The Trick Modifier is more easily recognized in the actual gameplay. Essentially, it gives the player the ability to combine any two tricks to form a complex new move. According to Acclaim, the Trick Modifier helps present the player with thousands of trick options and can be used to create some truly astounding moves.
The PlayStation 2 version of Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 will ship in September. The Xbox and GameCube versions should both arrive in November.
