NBA Live 2004 E3 2003 Preshow Report-May 2024
May 1, 2025 12:32 PM

NBA Live 2004 will be one of the many games appearing in Electronic Arts’ booth at this year’s E3. Live 2004 will feature the freestyle control introduced in NBA Live 2003 that lets players control the direction of a dribble move using the right analog stick. In addition, you will also be able to call authentic plays for each NBA team with the press of a single button while controlling the point. As far as other improvements are concerned, EA Sports has added new animations, put a stronger focus on rebounding, and improved defensive AI so you won’t have such an easy time in taking the ball to the basket or making outside shots. However, the AI can also be scaled to increase or decrease the difficulty level.

NBA Live 2004 will have support for online play in the PC and PlayStation 2 versions of the game, and it will feature improved stat tracking so you can see how other players are performing online. Classic teams will also be available, allowing you to take control of the Chicago Bulls of the ‘90s or the Celtics and Lakers of the ‘80s. Marv Albert and Mike Fratello will be providing commentary for the game. NBA Live 2004 is scheduled for release on the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC this fall.
